We spent the day at Grandpa and Grandma O's on Saturday for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Danny ended up at his parents for a while so he could get homework done while I was out in the shop with my Dad helping him to paint. While we were both occupied we left the kids in the house with Grandma O and others. After we got home that night I received the following email from my mom:
I have to write this down before I forget exactly how it was said! You know how little kids can never find anything even when its right in front of them? With that in mind:
Wyatt came in to me and asked where his flip-flops were. Rebecca, sitting in the living room, could sort of see some on the shoe rack so she told him to look there. He looked over there but couldn't see any and told us so. So Rebecca asked him if his weren't those gray ones on the low shelf and he continued to look. Finally he said, "Oh there they are!" To which Rebecca added, "they were right in front of your nose!". Then Wyatt came into the living room and countered, "That was the problem. I needed them to be right in front of my eyes, not my nose!".
